pooh, there was a way to fix it..just turned off the mic volume in the panel..now I can hear everyone through the speakers now and not my voice when I speak through the mic. It works fine. I can also plug the mic into the speaker plug on the back of the computer to hear through the headset and not the speakers...two ways to hear..
