Bruce, I understand the tantalum to be very important to Avalon. They have a large deposit of tantalum. There is concern that there will be a shortage of tantalum in the capacitor manufacturing business. I understand that companies like Vishay (VSH) are interested in firming up their supply chain, and it may be possible for Avalon to get assistance in developing their deposit. In developing their deposit, the door opens for sale of the other rare earths present in the deposit, such as lithium and cesium. The location of the deposit in Northwestern Ontario has good access, is not in an environmentally sensitive area, can be easily mined etc. I am not familiar with the processing flow sheet. My understanding is that NA Tantalum which has produced for many years nearby (100? miles west)in Manitoba has either ceased production or are on their last legs. Present production is mainly from Australia.
