This quote is from october of 99

The newfound wealth hasn't changed Jain's lifestyle though. "I still live in the same house, drive the same car and wear the same ripped jeans,"
he joked. Outside work he leads a simple family life with Indian values. He said that he worries less about money and focusses instead on what he
most enjoys - expanding his company.

This quote is interesting because in this other article with no date states he bought a 15 million dollar house recently....

weekend finds Mr. Jain and his wife, Anu, and their three children looking at three houses in
the ritzy, lake-front Seattle-area suburb of Medina: one selling for $15 million, another for $18
million and a third at $45 million.

"We just wanted to see what kind of houses you could get for this kind of money," Mr. Jain
says jauntily. And indeed, he winds up making a deal to buy the $15 million house, a
three-story hotel-size number christened Diamanti (or Greek for diamond).
