Stitch, TNX for current head perspective. MKE and other eastern manufacturing folk tend to value stability and reliability in their partners as you know....certainly not RDRT's strong suit when I was last out there 4-6 years ago. What currently caught my attention was the claim to be supplying heads for the Atlas program....and MKE is not an easy nut to crack. <<Many thanks for your explanation of the optical filters in DWDM, it was helpful.>> ....but superficial. One of these days I've got to put in some real study time on the current physics of optical to electrical signal conversion, and pure optical switching. I just read a thing on a high definition projection device based on controlling thousands of tiny tiny mirrors. I'm way behind the educational curve once more :o) Hasta luego.......Tom
