NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 10, 2000--Winstar Communications, Inc. WCII , a leading broadband services company, today announced the appointment of Frank J. Jules as president and chief operating officer of Winstar's U.S. Operations. I look forward to joining Winstar's exceptional senior management team as we make Winstar's broadband network and services a vital part of how businesses do business throughout the U.S. and abroad."

Jules was appointed president of SBC/Ameritech Business Communications Services in 1998.
