Re: "Hi Steve Lee; What part of your steps, (1-5) does Intel announcing that Timna will ship with SDRAM instead of RDRAM fall under? Where do you have room for the recent statement from Intel that they will support SDRAM for mainstream use of P4? Do you have an entry in there for where Intel's own bench marks show PC133 to be superior? (LOL!)"

Over a year ago Intel announced that P4 would ship with SDRAM. Same for Timna.

Your interpretation of this "recent news" falls in category 3. Not sure how u justify getting that "instead" in your question though.

As for Intel's benchmarks showing PC133 to be superior, it is not a like for like comparison (the 820 chipset is much older, didn't you know performance improves over time in the tech world?) and it is a benchmark based around a chip designed specifically to be used with SDRAM. Even so, the difference is still minimal.

I don't see any change in Intel's stance. Unlikely that August 100 calls will be worth much. Good thing about options is you lower your exposure. Had I held on to the stock instead of swapping for calls, I would have lost over $30 per share. The calls were much cheaper than $30 but gave nearly the same upside potential. Beauty now is I can buy calls with a later expiry and a much lower price and get a great gain if the stock only rises back to where it was when I sold it.

I have been suggesting for a couple of months that late August would be a good time to hold RMBS calls or stock. I still hold that belief and will be taking my own advice.
