Once you tender your shares to DeBeers you're committed to them unless you meet the withdraw conditions in the times alloted. But except for buying in the open market DeBeers can not deal preferentially with different groups of shareholders as I recall. The ONLY safe way to realize fair value for your shares is not to tender at all to this ridiculous offer to purchase. Trying to play both ends against the middle when dealing with DeBeers is a fool's game. They'll suck you in and only spit out the undigestible parts like belt and suspenders.

Don't let yourself get as desperate as DeBeers must be by now. Only blind panic would cause them to have to negotiate special terms with the TSE like they just announced yesterday. I don't think they've had any shares tendered yet.

Cheers
