true. BUT we can state that we are at a historic extreme. it is only important to recognize that there IS a bubble, and act accordingly. once you recognize a bubble, get out. it is not important WHEN you get out. it is important THAT you do.
in late '89 i had a debate with a trader over the Nikkei, which was at about 35,000 at the time. i presented more or less the same arguments about the Japanese bubble back then that i present now about the US bubble. a few months later, i looked like a fool, because the Nikkei hit a high almost 4,000 points higher...
and yet, urging to sell at 35K was the CORRECT advice...
