john, if large segments of this market aren't a bubble then no market has ever been a bubble. greed blinds folks to bubble existence. that is one major reason why they can exist since, by definition, they are irrational whil;e most folks are rational w/o greed's influence. however, many folks see the bubble for what it is, freely admit it and play anyway. other folks, like warren buffet, see the bubble for what it is and make statements about this being an unprecedented time for company owners to monetize shareholder ignorance - none of whom, btw, see themselves as ignorant.
