I called my local cable provider and the digital cable does have a great deal of channels but half of those are music or pay-perview. Total of 130



You will see a lot of regional channels (on DISH) that u may never become aware of and yet they have many subscribers.

For example there are 4 Indian Channels. CAn u imagine if there were that many fro each region of the world??

And of course DISH has so much bandwidth available that they would be willing to make any kind of deals (I think).
