Thanks that article is new news to me. I saw the msft thread talking about .net and didn't know what it was.

Well if msft supports the true industry standard for documents, which right now we get from Rosettanet, then ok.

I have to wonder about the PC-centric bent of some of these articles though. As if microsoft has the power to force adoption of their own standard? Ariba, Oracle, the ERP players and Siebel are the ones to define the intial documents. Who cares if office speaks XML? Not me.

A wild card is that if they get on the industry standards document bandwagon then maybe they can get their VR api's into some of the enterprise developers that want that technology.
