Fidelity Investments' parent FMR Corp. revealed greater-than-5 percent stakes in more than a half-dozen high-tech firms in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Fidelity took an 11.47 percent equity stake in AT&T Wireless Group (AWE: news, msgs) and 11.19 percent of Netro Corp. (NTRO: news, msgs), a provider of wireless networking equipment. The asset manager also took an 11.07 percent interest in SDL Inc. (SDLI: news, msgs), currently in the process of being "gobbled up" by JDS Uniphase (JDSU), according to NewsTraders.com. Fidelity acquired stakes of more than 10 percent each in Media Metrix (MMXI), Mercator Software (MCTR), Phone.com (PHCM), and Ultimate Electronics (ULTE). The filing did not reveal which funds the stock had been purchased for or at what date and price, NewsTraders said.
