Andreas; I find AMD investors to be nice people but very irrational.

You hit the nail on the head when you said AMD has strong fundamentals still... and it has excellent profits going, and will continue that next quarter.. It also has the strong support of the general hardware community at large (from what I've seen anyways)on their quality of products made as well as where they are going.. in the investors side of things.. the clear majority of analysts pick them as a good buy.. yet we have 2 dissenters (Ashok and SSB) and the market listens to those 2 and ignores everyone else.. as if they cant believe AMD will continue to be successful.. It is fortunate that AMD's success as a company wil not be dependent on how Wall Street and investors view them and where their stock price is.

AMD investors I find to be very high strung.. incredibly ecstatic when things go well.. to a big panic mode when the stock drops... and every rumour and wild speculation flies out as to why this occurs.. "whats wrong with AMD? its gotta be market loss to Intel" blah blah blah..

They would do good to learn from Intel investors who seem to be more level headed about the stock and the company they are investing in.. and not let a couple of bad forecasts from a minority spook them. Can anyone here dispute with me that if positions were reversed where Intel was executing flawlessly or at least very well, and it was AMD who was forced to push back Itanium/Timna launches and get into a Rambus debacle.. that Intel would be up around 200$ and AMD around 10?

Good fundamentals people.. remember that before you get into a lather of why the stock is dropping.. I think myself its more to do with the general atmosphere at the moment about chips and semiconductors and computers.. I dont think it quite frankly has anything to do with AMD as a company or what its doing business wise.
