I noticed the Janus 20 Fund has sold alot of its DELL....

Of course the Wall Street Journal had an article yesterday about some of the challenges / growing pains Janus is having...

Here is the Street.com article where I got the Janus info...

thestreet.com

<<...The news isn't all good for Dell, though. The two funds that have sold the most Dell shares this year are Janus Twenty, which is closed to new investors, and Legg Mason Value, according to Morningstar. The funds are run by highly regarded managers Scott Schoelzel and Bill Miller, respectively. Both have been right much, much more than they've been wrong.>>

This is interesting....Janus was one of DELL's largest shareholders until 2000. I can understand trimming their position. Yet, they have also done some crazy things like invest over $750 Million in Healtheon (in a private placement) when it was trading over $60/share....its now at an all-time low and Janus lost over 80% of its investment (an investment they were required to hold until July)....The law of big numbers may be catching up to Janus...Their long term track record is still OK and I think the Jury is still out on the Fund Company.

For now I'll do my own investing....and I would like to wish all the loyal DELLheads the best of luck...;-)

Best Regards,

Scott
