Those of us who've been following the semi's closely now know what the "value" crowd have been going through these past couple of years<g>! Pretty amazing that AMAT's numbers weren't good enough to support the sector but we've been subject, once again, to Wall St's favorite ritual...sell on news. Watching these solid companies with impressive growth get hammered by the street can be a little humbling, not that I needed any help in this area<vbg>! I'm starting work on a new buy and hold semi port, similar to the one I set up in Sept 98 with the communications semis. Anyone who cares to share their 2 cents about the companies they think should be included, feel free to post your comments here or in a PM if you prefer! I'd prefer to stick to small or mid caps with HUGE potential for growth over the next 24 to 48 months. Even with the sector downturn, the model portfolio (displayed in the next post) has returned a fantastic gain todate. No trades were done after the initial buys!!! Have a great weekend all! Michael
