Burt - Re: "What the hell is going on with the downdraft on AMD? " Looks like AMD introduced their new "Hammer" chip and the stock got "Nailed" ! My guess is that the world is waking up to how far behind AMD is (to Intel) in strategic growth markets - servers, advanced servers, 64 bit CPUs, data communications, etc. AMD has a history of making a good run at catching up to Intel, only to be left behind once Intel gets its engines revved up. Intel's engines are getting revved up ! Paul
