I can't even begin to understand the points that you are trying to
make with the above statements. How are high-tech start-ups priced?
Don't get too carried away with the analogy of a tornado. If you read
the book you'll understand that it describes the situation where
a new market is created because of some innovation that is not
just an incremental improvement. Something like Presstek's
technology.

These new markets create chaos where different companies are competing
to become the one, true market leader. An example in the book is
Oracle.

I recommended the book because it gives insight into how companies
become the market leaders. This can help you evaluate Presstek's
strategies and decisions and decide whether you think that they are
making the right moves.

So far, I like the things that they have been doing and I don't see
anyone else emerging as real competition. If this is true, then it
becomes a numbers game to try and figure out how big the market is
and what percentage of this Presstek will capture.
