Siemens was in my original post as a buyer, I edited it out, along with United Tech, GE, Philips, and Lockheed. Each could pay a 100% prem with the cash in their pockets. If it turns out to be Siemens or Philips, I'd watch for the USAF/NSA concerns. That could tell us much about the black box and MVIS joint work.

Defense, telecomm, specialized high tech, maybe GE or Philips. Somebody who possibly possesses a discontinuous innovation for a product which dates to Tom Edison might be worth an obscene premium to these players. The microwave and other goodies are just icing on the cake.

Q for the eminent unclewest: your thoughts on CREE accepting a $10bn+ investment (pref stock, convertibles etc)from a GE (etc) which would block a takeover and give CREE deep research pockets?
