<Serge Raes, director of business development at the 3G3P, says the partnership wants to reduce overall royalty payments because of the high cost required for infrastructure investment – anything from US$4 billion to US$7 billion for a large European country, depending on who you listen to. “The business case for 3G is not too good, and some companies may doubt they can get a decent return on their investment. If royalties are high, they may even review their decision to enter the 3G market,” says Raes. >

This sort of stuff is simply amazing. What did he think the UK 3G spectrum auction was about? What does he think the current 3G German auction is about? Those companies are not bidding to spend a lot of money on 3G spectrum to then bail out from providing service.

Raes must be mad! Of course, we really know that Raes is simply the spokesperson for a bunch of thieves who are fixin' to steal QUALCOMM's property. Fortunately, the USA has got the military, judicial, economic and political muscle to tell Raes and the Pathetic Patent Platform Plagiarists [3G4P] to take a running jump.

It's funny to see such absurd claims. It's comforting because it means they have got nothing to base their arguments on if they have to make such absurd claims.

3G4P have whined and bleated to US Department of Justice [who, if the JJJ Klan are entrusted with the decision would revamp the Q! software, split it up, set the pricing and jail the management], Japan's Fair Trade Commission [what a joke that is], and European Socialists.

Re a standard royalty rate of 0.1%. 3G4P say that Q! patents are of equal value to some obscure, trivial and pathetic bells and whistles added for the sole purpose of getting their hand in the till. How wacky can people get? All patents were NOT created equal.
