I called the court today and spoke to judge McKelvey's clerk. There is no decision on the motions and he doesn't know (or wouldn't say) when there will be one. Probably only the judge knows. The trial date for the other issues will be set after the ruling on the motions. A couple of days ago I called Maxtor and spoke to someone in technical support. FWIW, I questioned him about KM and, after puttting me on hold and checking with someone else to see if it was OK to discuss it with me, he said that Maxtor is using KM on its inductive drives now, that all new drives are MR and he hinted that both technologies will be displaced by optical drives.
