The word "jackass" comes to mind when I watch innumerate (that's numerically illiterate for the uninitiated) people attempt to apply these math-free, proof-free gimmicks. When they attempt to apply those gimmicks to thinly traded stocks with minuscule revenue streams I can only shake my head in disbelief. When you realize they are trying to apply their new-found gimmick to a stock undergoing several catastrophic events, such as a crash in revenue, massive layoffs, financial crises and and so forth, then you know you're dealing with complete idiots. I don't mean that metaphorically or as a casual remark; I mean completely ignorant, unabashed idiots. If the underlying premise of the gimmick is beyond them, then it must be beyond everybody, they reason; therefore they reject criticizm as just another "opinion". That they are stupid and those who understand the gimmick for what it is are not is not a valid explanation in their minds, such as they are.
