And look at the pricing. Intel tops out at 866 unless they resort to cooling the CPU to below standard temperatures, which means special case ventilation and system placement is necessary.

Push your Intel 933 or higher PC up against a wall reducing airflow and you can get lockups and data corruption. On an AMD system the box just gets warm, but the system runs fine - since the CPU has plenty of thermal margin, even the 1GHZ parts.
