Please forgive me if this is an incredibly naive question. I've been spending a considerable amount of time with MS since I have had the software, and have developed some very exciting systems, all of which work great when optimized over a given stock during a given period of time, and then either fail, or yield poor results at best when tried with the same numbers over a different time period. Clearly some of the tests I have work well in erratic trading markets, and others in trending markets. I am currently working on combining the two which is starting to get a little better.

I am curious if any of you have managed to successfully develop a system that you feel produces *consistent* results over different securities, and during different kinds of markets. Or, is that just the holy grail that no-one has ever achieved but we are all striving to get there?

If you have developed something that is more adaptable, would you be willing to share the idea, or at least the concept behind the idea.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Regards,
Robert
