"And what's this "Poor woman"...?"

I was referring to her manifest intellectual poverty, not her pocketbook. But how you mistake anything Maria B. does for "professional distance" or 'smarts' is beyond me. Although I admit I do not watch much of CNBC, what I have seen of her is nothing more than brainless narcissism.

'one of the worst interviews in television history' a bit hyperbolic...

OK, I concede this point. Maria B. gives very dumb interview, but the subjects are so fleeting, weightless, and inconsequential that I admit to hyperbole for even remarking on them. Mike Wallace's how-often-do-you-kick-your-dog-you-communist-bitch" interview of Eleanor Roosevelt sometime in the late '50s or early '60s probably was the worst interview in television history, so I have read. He apparently was so scurrilous and insulting it is said CBS virtually banned him from the air for several years.
