I hear the point you wish to make, opalapril...

Your opinion is just as valid as anyone else's is, of course...

I will say this...the CNBC format is unique. They have no direct competition that I know of...other financial channels/programming can seem similar, but they lack the 'finger on the pulse' quality of a live shot of the NYSE floor every few minutes.

This is why I'm so excited about the CNBC format...it's like a NYSE-Cam, with a flavor of the old WOR radio broadcasts-

So, I suppose I'd agree with the 'narrow frame of reference' point...I am merely pointing out that Bartiromo is a standout on her team...but there are many other CNBC star players whom I 'superlate' about, quite regularly...

One last thing, opal...I really think it is important for the youngsters who are interested in finance/banking/broadcasting...to have 'role models' to inspire them in a competitive world...Sue Herrera, Michelle Caruso-Cabrerra, Kathleen Hayes, Bill G., Tyler M., Bob Pisani...all pioneers, I mean really...Every time I see Maria on the floor, pre-market...I wonder how she did it!

It has to be a First.
