Right, I haven't been on the beach lately.... Yet, I'm afraid you're wrong about the Mediterranean's sanity: you're likely bathing in one of the most polluted seas on earth! Remember, it's an enclosed sea, with only one exit on the ocean --Gibraltar.
Besides, Athens itself is one of the most smoggy cities on earth....
