John, I don't think the big analysts will be squirming... guaranteed multi-million dollar contracts and all. It will still be difficult for the little guys to compete in terms of resources: ordering surveys or keeping "consultants" on retainer to tip them off when a company makes any kind of business move. I would think that FD would cause companies to rethink their selective enforcement of their quiet periods. Why was analyst A shut off 2 weeks before the quarter ended and holding course, while analyst B is revising his estimate 5 days after the quarter ended? Bob
