Hi lml, Insightful view about the VPNs. Yup, country club indeed, executive lounge at LAX, preffered seating at the Four Seasons..... indeed. I've heard so many horror stories about xDSL installations lately I'm convinced there is way more than mere incompetence involved here**. Like you say high end customers cannot tolerate incompetency* and I have a hunch, they all read the press about the tremendous frustration of going to xDSL and act on the information, thus VPNs. My quasi-sweet spot here is $40 per month for all I can eat connectivity via cable modem. I was just down, for the third time in two weeks for about 2.5 hours. Bummer if there was a fast market and I need to do something with an online brokerage. So, I think I've got about 98% reliability here. Not bad, but not something to count on either. as they say here among people in 'the biz,' "be well." As they say in the well bidness in Midland, "have a hoot, stay away from that toot, and beware that Dem in the suit." R. ***more like incontinence all over the customer on the part of the corner window crowd, but I ain't goin' there. ;)
