VALCOURT, QUEBEC--True to its mission to provide the most exciting
and innovative recreational vehicles, Bombardier Recreational
Products launches its new Traxter(TM) XL All Terrain Vehicle
(ATV). This newest addition to the growing line of Bombardier
ATVs is a hard working quad specially designed for demanding and
comprehensive work applications.

"The Traxter XL ATV features some of the most exciting and
anticipated technological innovations. It comes with a new
high-impact plastic box-bed with dumping capacity and 2-stage
double-shock rear suspension to carry on as much as 600 litres of
payload. It also comes with two additional storage containers,
one at each wheel base for quick access to tools and materials",
said Alain Brunelle, Vice President and General Manager ATV. "It
is the longest, strongest ATV on the market today", adds Mr.
Brunelle.

Like every Traxter model, the Traxter XL features the step-through
design unique to Bombardier which allows riders to get on or off
with ease, even when the box-bed is fully loaded. The
rear-mounted radiator, the unique Visco-Lok* progressive lock
differential, the "park" feature, the single thumb-operated
hydraulic gear selector, the large capacity storage compartment,
the easy-access engine and other Bombardier innovations are also
found on the Traxter XL ATV.

The Traxter XL ATV has everything the most demanding utility rider
needs to get the job done well, quickly, comfortably and in
complete confidence.

Since their introduction, Bombardier(R) ATVs have been the object
of praise by the press. Voted "ATV of the Year" in 1999 by ATV
Magazine and "Best ATV on the market" by Popular Mechanics the
very same year, the Traxter ATV, the first entry into the ATV
market by Bombardier was a hands-down winner with the experts.
4-Wheel ATV Action named the Bombardier DS 650(TM), the sport
model launched earlier this year, "ATV of the year 2000".
