Mark, I did a study correlating analysts ratings with biotech stock performance over a six month period. The correlation was zero. In other words the movement of biotech stocks either upward or downward was completely unrelated to the analysts opinions. I completely discount them from my long term thinking. But, on the short term they can have a major impact and are used to manipulate stock values for themselves and their clients. The downgrade of GLFD is ludicrous.
