Ken, I agree with you. I've been saying this all along. Subsidize the handsets. Do whatever it takes to get them into hands. $399 Specials. Partner with rental car companies which could "rent" them for $15 per day to vacationers. Whatever. Just get them out there into people's hands. I wouldn't think of forking out $700 right now when I've already seen them drop from $1500 in the space of a few months. I KNOW they will be cheaper in a few months so i'll just wait.

I stated here several months ago that what G* needed to do was telemarket large corporate customers. Those deals should have been locked up before the systems were a go. Why no big corporate deals?

I respectfully disagree with Maurice on the per minute pricing. Yes, while it's important to get the per minute pricing "in line" it is not the key factor. Equipment costs are. If people balk at the equipment costs a .50 / minute rate is meaningless.

I have spoken with several potential buyers of a G* phone (including my wife) and every time the issue is the high price on handsets. And the mobile car kits? Let's no even go there.

Just my two cents..
