It is? Where? What's the official paper launch date? As near as I can tell, the current official line is back to "technology preview for McKinley".
Three major new processor launches were due from Intel this year, Itanium, Timna, and Willamette, and it's looking more and more like a total strikeout. Anybody else but Intel pulled something like that... Well, Microsoft could get away with it too, I guess.
Cheers, Dan.
Careful Dan, your "sour grapes" are showing. Regardless of whether Itanium is a "technology preview" or not, the point is, the silicon works, software vendors are lined up, and intel's IA-64 will be selling LONG before SledgeHammer sees first silicon.
And your "strikeout" comment seems to indicate that you believe that "This Year" is completed. I wasn't aware that August, had been designated as the completion of this year. Thanks for enlightening me, I appreciate it.
