To tell you the truth, I am not exactly happy with what I consider to be the "loose & liberal" accounting standards of today, and firmly believe that all should always try their best to err on the conservative side..... But then as you point out, what does a company who uses conservative accounting do when a competitor "blows them away" by using much more liberal methods? This subject has become a huge problem in my opinion that will eventually come back to haunt many companies and the stock market in general in years to come, IMO. Good companies are good companies, but we should always be on guard for excessive valuation levels that can certainly get out of hand because of the sometimes emotionally driven stampeding bulls that get too wild and need to be herded up before they go over the cliff..... <g> Yogi
