I think I'm going to go the path of least resistance on this one and simply say, "Holyfield."

I'll add that Ruiz isn't known as the "Quiet Man" just because he's a timid conversationalist - his fights simply don't attract much attention. I also adhere to the general suspicion that he's got an extremely weak chin, especially for a Heavyweight champ.

Holyfield is, of course, the warrior, the guy we take for granted and will tell our kids about one day. And, though he's getting older, he's still got a lot of punch, not to mention the desire to eradicate the spectre of the Lewis bouts.

But, I'm really indecisive on whether we'll see a KO/stoppage or a decision. I'll say this: if there is a KO or stoppage, it will come late. So, perhaps a summary of my far-less-confident-than-usual prediction would read:

Holyfield over Ruiz
70% by KO/TKO in the late rounds (8 or more)
30% by decision
