BUT nowhere along the analysis does the word manipulation come into it.

People like Doug (and Richard) will always find their perspective on the world filtered through the lens of conspiracy.

But they will never acknowledge the manipulation that occurs by governmental entities or banks holding a monopoly on a particular commodity.

They clamor about the manipulation in the gold markets and how horrific it is..., but they say nary a word about the subsidies and price support the POG receives by being made artificially scarce.
