sblackm1, Sorry to hear about your cost basis, but I'll bet it looks better after the next couple of splits! I've been through 4 now, and I intend to stay for 4 more. I only have sold shares for the purposes of diversification. Had I not, it would have comprised too large a portion of my portfolio, and I don't do that gig.

CSCO got ahead of itself when the NAZ exploded late last year and early this year. It was my "dependable stock" before that, not climbing (or falling) as fast as some of my other investments, but providing a nice, steady return. We're still correcting from the excesses, but IMO, we're almost done. I hope when we begin the march upward again, we can do so without the extreme moves we've seen recently. Will we?

Well, that depends to some extent on whether people get back to investing as opposed to speculating. I'm doing my own contribution to that -- putting money into such things as INTC lately (which I haven't owned for a while) -- money that will stay there for a long time. I'll still speculate with MAD money -- just with less of it.
