Please refresh my memory someone....What are Globalstar's "operational costs" going forward? (~ a dime per minute stands out)....

I thought G*'s main advantage over I* and others was its LOW COST infrastructure?

what does the customer want? I'll tell you what I want here in the U.S.

1) No more dropped calls. Yes, I'll pay a "premium" for
this privilege.
2) G* handsets at $399 (I'll sign up tomorrow).
3) $0.30 to $0.60 per minute would float my boat.
4) Just tell me about satellite service. Don't confuse me
with digital cellular and tri-mode and satellite when
I'm out of the network coverage area and all that other
gobbledy-gook razzmatazz telecom muck I keep hearing...

Just give me my satellite phone with no dropped calls and I'll happily pay $399 for the phone and $0.50 a minute for calls anyway in the U.S. (or even just California if you wannna limit me).

And one more thing - I wanna talk to a sales rep who knows what the **** they're talking about. I wanna see some fire in the belly to make a sale. I wanna see them comin at me with all guns a firing, eager to close the deal. Coffee is for closers and unfortunately not many of our Verizon sales reps are drinking much coffee these days. Perhaps it is time to hire a dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable sales force? :) WorldCom might be a good start...

That's my two cents, once again..
