. I think the universe is infinite. What do you believe?

Maybe this will give an insite to by beliefs. I used to think the universe was a bounded infinite. As a simple picture, it was as if it were the surface of a balloon slowly being filled. At any given point in time it would be finite, but it kept getting larger (therefore it would, in infinite time, become infinite).

I have become to doubt this based on measurements made possible by the Hubble telescope. I am currently leaning to the prospect that the universe is a finite amount of material expanding into an infinite amount of space. The difference is subtle in measurement, but majorly important in terms of implication. If we are in an infinite amount of space, then it is possible, even likely that our universe will expand and meet with the remnants of other "big bangs". (There are more implications which are even more complex and I'm not sure I understand them well enough to explain).

In sort, my beliefs change with the solar wind, or at least they change with an overwhelming set of evidence.
