Carl, I gathered from the Platform 2000 remarks their CEO made, that he was among the Anti Rambus faction within INTC before he left. He was apparently predicting the "DOA" prognosis for DRDRAM at least as early as you were here. What surprises me more than his support DDR is his support for JEDEC. As an INTC grad I would think that he'd see the RMBS model (burn and pillage) as the way to go. ...But then again, he's pushing CPU's not bus designs. Assuming you have been in the semiconductor market long enough to know, can you tell me anything about the history of JEDEC? I am wondering whether it's formation had anything to do with the TI DRAM patent disputes that I think you, Scumbria and Dan3 have referred. I tried their WWW site but, understandably, they don't explain the juicy bits in their self descriptions. 0\|0
