Call waiting is also not what I would an equipment which "provisions service". It simply allows the 64K copper wire to handle both voice & data simultaneously.....so in essence it's more of an add-on enhancement to the current dial-up modem. Provisioning as I understand the term is all about quickly/efficiently activating/deactivating customer accounts & activating/deactivating features/applications/services. Ooooops! That's the mistake some vendors will make. When you provision call waiting you're provisioning a new billable service. Yes, activating an account is provisioning as well... but each time you add or remove features from an account it is service provisioning you're enabling/disabling. OG
