I tried to post to you last night, but SI had problems or SI's server had problems, according to the message that I received.
I saved my post for you:
Well, you can call the weather forecast for Seattle if you want: DRY, DRY. And it's hot. I don't think we've had a decent rain since June. It's hard to keep plants alive.
Well, we didn't stay in Asheville. We stayed up in the Smokies. We took in the arts and crafts place on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is where I bought my imaginative clay pelican. My husband bought a handmade dulcimer from a store downtown. There are art galleries in the city. I recall we visited one. And I even found an abstract piece that I liked. The problem was the price: $7,000 or $8,000. We spent most of our time in one shopping area.
There is an old mansion that you can visit if you want to fork over $28.00 per person.
Mostly, I liked the stay on top of the mountain. I'd sit in a hammock by the pond. When I got to hot, I'd slide onto a plastic inflatable, paddle around the pond and admire the water lilies. Every once in awhile, I'd topple into the water.
For a special occasion, you and your wife might want to spend a couple of nights there. The food is wonderful.
I've never been to San Antonio so please tell us about it.
