This is a continuation of my previous post. In this post I will present a summary of the JMAR precision report.

Dr. Martinez began the meeting with a simple observation. He claimed that everything in the meeting room was in some way touched by semiconductors. He pointed out the only exception to this was the air in the room. I have given a great deal of thought to this and I have to agree 100% with his observation. Semiconductors are going to change the world as we know it, and they are going to do it at a rate that may be incomprehensible. IMO Semiconductors will be developed much like the automobile was in the last century and will spurn incredible growth in this century.

Dr. Martinez also pointed out that JMAR has outperformed the Russell 2000, and the S&P 500 during the past year (and ½) by a phenomenal margin. If you don’t believe this put all 3indicators on the same graph…

Another interesting fact that Dr. Martinez pointed out is that 14,000 investors hold the 22 million shares of outstanding stock.

After the formalities (election of officers etc) the respective officers of the company gave their reports.

One of the best and most overlooked presentations at this meeting was that of the scientists who are developing the new precision positioning and measurement equipment for Jar’s precision division. Fred Schiele leads this effort, and much like Mr. Sepe, Mr. Schiele was given was the charge of changing JMAR’s precision division from a producer of disk drive equipment into a producer of equipment that will be used to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing (foundry) process. The excellent presentations given by the engineers who have developed this equipment, (and yes it was highly technical), show that JMAR is not only designing the Aspic’s that will be in high demand, but they are creating much of the process in which they are being manufactured. The implications of this are nothing short of astounding! This vertical integration of the entire process will not only ensure that JMAR will have unlimited foundry capacity, they will be manufacturing the products more efficiently, and will be making significant income doing this.

Consider this. If JMAR is considering the possibility of providing manufacturing (foundry) equipment to INTEL, they will have the ability to direct the future of how these semiconductors will be made. These guys are making the rules!!

There was much literature available describing the products emerging from the precision division, and it will take me a while to read all of it. I am not sure I can completely comprehend the implications the atomic microscope will have on the semiconductor industry but many valid applications were presented, discussed and demonstrated. In fact, the engineers have written some excellent demonstration software and it was on display, I only wished I had more time to take it all in…

While the developments in the precision division are substantial, the other divisions are contributing as well.

I will continue with my next post by discussing the presentation by Marvin Sepe.

As a side note, one of the things that really impressed me was the constant reference made to the business plans that are in place for the development of these products. Obviously all companies have business plans to adhere to in developing and bringing a product to market, but Dr. Martinez seemed to have taken this a step further, and has a synergy in place that ties all of the JMAR companies together. I think this is illustrated by the fact that JMAR is working with the customer (i.e. foundries) on a constant basis to continue to develop and implement these products.
