Interesting, I, too, was supposed to be in TO last week.
Got knocked down by the flu. Don't know, though, that
if I'd brushed shoulders with the rich and famous
that I'd opt for poverty. In spite of being a Star
reader, maybe you could tell us t he other three on th e
list. They sound pretty good. What the Amish have, of
course, is community and faith. Most of us wander
about the world on our own unless we've got a large
family that sticks together. Problem with being a
poor CMR shareholder instead of a rich one is the
covenience of richness. Old saw: would you rather be
rich and unhappy or poor and happy. Bad logic. Good
logic: would you rather be rich and unhappy or poor
and unhappy? Or would you rather be rich and happy or
poor and happy? Only change one element at a time.
Personally, I'd like to be able to go to the Mayo
Clinic for treatment of a major disease rather than
wait for months for treatment in Canada. So, Ted,
a little hustle wouldn't hurt. Slow and steady wins
the race, t he tortoise and the hare, and all that
is okay, you don't have to boogie buta little
sashaying would be okay, too. I don't want to wait
for the moola until the only thing it will buy me
is someone to feed me blendered steak.
