Cable & Wireless HKT Chooses ECI Telecom's xDSL Broadband Access Solutions to Deliver Broadband Internet Services
PETAH TIKVA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2000, ECI Telecom Ltd. (NASDAQ/NM symbol: ECIL - news) announced today that Cable & Wireless HKT is deploying its Hi-FOCuS(TM) xDSL Broadband Access solutions to deliver broadband Internet to business and residential subscribers in Hong Kong.

The new orders further position ECI Telecom as a leading supplier of xDSL broadband access solutions throughout the world.

ECI Telecom has already supplied thousands of xDSL lines through its Hi-FOCuS solution to Cable & Wireless HKT. ECI Telecom's Hi-FOCuS xDSL solution was chosen to serve Cable & Wireless HKT's broadband access layer of the network, following an extensive and competitive evaluation process.
