Intel says the only change in the 820E chip set is the new ICH. I believe the MCH silicon hasn't changed, just that motherboard makers no longer provide resources for the MTH on either 820 or 820E.

If there are benchmark improvements in the 820E, IMO they will be unrelated to RDRAM memory. But like I said before, hopefully the ASUS mobo will be benchmarked by someone in an apples to apples comparison to the 815E
