CPU with modem etc: Impact on industry.

Well, for starters have a look at Marc Perkins' comment in this week's Barrons, to the effect that USRX will go the way of CREAF and its sound cards... in other words USRX will be decimated.

My understanding is that INTC is licensing the instruction set from USRX and that the modem will only be sold with 133s and will only come in 14.4 speed.

But clearly the market is confused by any such announcement.

When MMX was announced CUBE dived like a wounded duck. Not at all for the right reasons, but anyway...
