[Re: Pat Mudge. Bozo T. Clown gets it wrong]
Bozo:
I have saved plenty of your posts and agree that you can be funny and write well . But neither of these gifts was on display in your post #17665. Nor does that post pass for deep thinking. It was all about Bozo T. Clown inviting the reader to bask in his wisdom--most of which you should save for the late nite bull sessions in the sophomore dorms (I'm quoting someone here, though I can't remember who, possibly myself).
You impugn Pat's integrity, and anyone who met her at Interop is a robotoid groupie. SteveG and a few others besides you have taken potshots at Pat.
So, for you guys, but especially for readers who may be inclined to listen to you, know this:
I spent 3 days at Interop, much of it with Pat Mudge, Jim Wilkinson, Mark Lewin, among others (who post less). I have read every single one of their posts to this thread. At Interop I broke bread with them and I looked into their eyes. I watched them interrogate Amati and its competitors... feign ignorance to trap an unwary corporate flack... covertly tape... challenge... and then huddle and review...
On the whole, Bozo, (and whhooooff did you ever land on the right cognomen) these folks--once again-- were making efforts far beyond anything I've seen from you.
And Pat, as always, has the inclination to post every useful bit of it, for which I am grateful. (Her hit rate is almost 100%. HKT seems to be coming around as predicted; ADI will be interesting.)
Not only did she post it, but I watched over her shoulder. Did her transmission to the SI board of the same info I had heard transmute itself because she was somehow motivated to twist it?? Not in the least. All I noticed was that she was able to add context from her databanks, stuff I had forgotten twice over. I believe this to be true of every message she has ever posted here.
She is way long Amati, as am I. She wants it to go up. So do I. If there is a silver lining to be found in some dark patch, she'll find it. I want to read that. If she's stretching, you'll know it and I'll know. She'll know it, too, and you'll see a corrective post within hours.
AMTX may go to the moon or into the toilet.
All you need to worry about is, "Is Pat right or is she wrong." She is not lying. She is not a dupe. I have good antennae; hers are better. As are her sources.
Many of your posts are useful. Can't say that for any of mine until this one. On the other hand, I haven't inflicted on the readership a yard long "Ode To My Own Sweet Self."
Hi to engineer.
