As a female, over the age of 40, I must also comment on how many women DO NOT go for a regular mammogram because of how very uncomfortable they are. I am embarrassed to admit that I have only had one, and have not been back thinking I am safe because there is no history of breast cancer in my family. I am not alone. Many of my friends and relatives feel the same way and avoid the procedure. I know, believe me, that is stupid, but I just wanted to state that it is a reality! My OB/GYN gave me the ultimatum on my last visit, so I have an appointment for later this week. I am dreading it, but will grit my teeth this time and hope that just possibly by next year I will have an alternative choice!! Thanks to everyone and Good Luck!!
