Kash, <AMD Celebrates One Year Anniversary of AMD Athlon Processor and Commences Shipments of 1.1GHz Processors SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug 14, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- > Smart PR! The stock seems to be shooting for 63 as I type. Finally the PR guys have done something worthwhile. A price cut without announcing the 1.1G could have gone down as a negative by some of the folks. In the context of 1.1G "shipment" announcement that sounds good. And, none of the Duron750 and Athlon1100 ammo has been used so we can expect couple of more press releases and reiterations in the next month - this time with real systems availability and customer names. It is also strong message to state the 800-1100MHz range on Athlon, establishing 800MHz as the entry level. Chuck
