Johnny, while I agree that most moves were on short-covering, it is short-covering and selling capitulation that marks the beginning of any rally. That is why we need to examine this move closely once more.

PS> For those keeping track. . .I didn't call the December 1999 rally. . .nor did anyone else for that matter. . .in fact, everyone expected a selloff into Y2K. . .that rally just sort of snuck up on everyone. . . a little bit each day. . . and before we knew it we were at all time highs across the board.
