Johnny, while I agree that most moves were on short-covering, it is short-covering and selling capitulation that marks the beginning of any rally. That is why we need to examine this move closely once more. Is it gold or pyrite? Rande Is PS> For those keeping track. . .I didn't call the December 1999 rally. . .nor did anyone else for that matter. . .in fact, everyone expected a selloff into Y2K. . .that rally just sort of snuck up on everyone. . . a little bit each day. . . and before we knew it we were at all time highs across the board.
